WESTPORT, Conn. -- Post 154, a popular restaurant that opened a little more than two years ago in a downtown landmark, has closed, according to the Westport News.

Housed in the 80-year-old brick building on Post Road East that once was the town’s main U.S. Post Office, Geoffrey Fischer, the general manager of Post 154, said the large size of the restaurant — about 4,650 square feet — was the reason the owners’ decided to close, added the Westport News.

Fischer said the bar area was full on a regular basis, but it was hard to keep the restaurant full with more than 200 seats, said the Westport News.
