People's Chief Strategist Talks All Things Economic At Fairfield Breakfast

FAIRFIELD, CONN. -- Financier John S. Traynor will be gazing into his post-election crystal ball as guest speaker at the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce’s annual breakfast next week.

John S. Traynor, senior vice president and chief investment officer at People's United Bank, will talk about the economy and trends for the future at a breakfast meeting of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.

Traynor, as senior vice president and CIO of People’s United Bank, the event’s sponsor, directs its overall investment process and has ultimate responsibility for the work of its investments committees.

Traynor regularly appears on CNBC’s Nightly Business Report and on the Fox Business Network. He is also is frequently quoted in The New York Times and Wall Street Journal.

According to the Chamber, he will be giving an overview of the current economy and a look at the trends for the year ahead under a Trump presidency.

“We are very excited to have John as our keynote speaker,” said Chamber president Beverly A. Balaz, adding: “There are many questions about the health and direction of our economy as we begin a new year with a new president of the United States.”

Also sponsoring the breakfast is United Illuminating and South CT Gas.

Traynor also serves a spokesman for the People’s United Wealth Management Group.

The breakfast, which is open to the public, is set for 7:30 to 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, at the Brooklawn County Club, 500 Algonquin Road, Fairfield.
