And while Acqua has a couple meals to serve, yet, it's already absent from Z Hospitality Group's website, where it lived until only recently.

Ramze Zakka, owner of the company, said that increasing competition -- as well as changed in zoning that made it easier for competitors to get liquor licenses -- contributed to the decision to close, according to the Westport News.

The restaurant receives solidly positive ratings online, through Yelp, TripAdvisor and more. Locals like Donna Gieptner Riniti are bemoaning its demise on Facebook. She writes that it's her favorite Westport restaurant, with "great food, great service, great staff."

Z Hospitality Group has other restaurants in the area, including Sole in New Canaan and Terra in Greenwich, and Zakka hopes customers will patronize those, the Westport News reported.
