That could be your order soon as the revived Cricket Car Hop, a beloved Stratford landmark, opens for business this spring at its new location, 900 Access Road.

And to say that excitement is growing is a bit of an understatement. Nearly 900 people are following the new Cricket’s Facebook page, waxing poetic about hot dates and workday lunches there and pleading with the owners to revive the old menu.

“Looks good! Can’t wait for my first chili dog,” wrote Charlie Esposito.

“Awesome!!! Awesome!!! Awesome!!” cheered Jimmy Gonzalez.

So far, the owners have said they plan to have a very similar menu. They will revive the popular rib sandwich and offer Table Talk pies for those who are looking for a sweet treat.

Others are clamoring for Cricket’s iconic red relish, something that set the shop apart from its opening around 1955 to its closing in 2004.
