WESTPORT, Conn. -- Jersey Mike’s Subs will open a new franchise Wednesday in Westport and will be celebrating with a fundraising event for charity.
Franchise owner Brian Kelley of Paradigm Investments, along with operating partner Troy Davidson, will have a free sub fundraiser from Wednesday through Sunday to support Special Olympics Connecticut.
The new restaurant, in Compo Acres Shopping Center at 390 Post Road E., is circulating 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to the charity.
Customers must have a coupon to be eligible.
Davidson said he is looking forward to the grand opening -- and the chance to help out a worthy organization.
“We can’t think of a greater cause to support than Special Olympics," he said. "This is a particularly personal cause for our team, and I’m proud to be able to partner with them. If you haven’t donated to Special Olympics in the past, now is the perfect time.”
