Grand Opening Set For Companions & Homemakers' Westport Office

WESTPORT, Conn. – Companions & Homemakers will host a grand opening Wednesday, July 29 at its newest office in Westport.

The event is from noon to 4 p.m. at 16 Ketchum St. A ribbon-cutting ceremony with local elected officials, Westport Chamber of Commerce leaders and Companions & Homemakers staff and clients will take place at 1 p.m.

Staff will be on hand to meet prospective clients and employees, discuss job opportunities and to give tours of the new facility, according to a press release.

Companions & Homemakers has provided specialized home-care services to clients and their families since 1990. With 11 offices throughout Connecticut, the company is able to serve and provide a high level of support to its staff, caregivers and clients, according to a press release.

Each of the locations act as an operation center for a designated area of the state, allowing Companions & Homemakers to deliver personalized care services in the most efficient manner, according to a press release.

The Westport office opened July 6 in effort to better serve existing clients in Fairfield County. The company previously operated out of an office in Fairfield, but found Westport to be a better location to recruit staff and clients and to provide care, according to a press release. The Westport office will offer temporary home care services to clients from Shelton to Greenwich, help to expand the current client base and provide job opportunities in the local community, according to a press release.

“We are very excited to join the Westport community and are thrilled at the opportunity that the new location offers us to strengthen our ability to serve our clients and create jobs in the area; we’ve already seen a significant increase in applicant traffic,” said Jonathan Hunt, regional manager for Companions & Homemakers, in a press release.
